The League of Dreams is excited about its new relationship with The William S. Baer School, a Baltimore City Public School that serves 180 of the city’s most medically fragile children, from ages 3-21. On May 26, the League of Dreams held its first adaptive baseball event at this very special school. We’re looking forward to additional events with this wonderful organization. A special thank you to the Baer School staff, teachers and students for their gracious welcome.

The League of Dreams teamed up with The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools and The Exchangeree in partnership with The Baseball Warehouse, LLC to hold Let’s Play Ball on Saturday, May 14. The day included multiple recognition and award ceremonies, sports activities, face painting, live music, food trucks, family activities, learning booths, and more. The LOD Spring Dream Game with Allied Sports brought together more than 160 high school players with special needs from the Baltimore County Public Schools Allied Sports Program to participate in a softball tournament at Catonsville High School on May 2. Players from more than 16 Baltimore County Schools and 75 volunteers participated. The day was made possible by partnerships with Baltimore County Public Schools, Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, Baltimore Orioles, and community grants and donations that the League of Dreams receives. The smiles, laughter, and camaraderie were so amazing to witness and are truly what the League of Dreams is all about!
