Let’s Play Ball!

The League of Dreams teamed up with The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools and The Exchangeree in partnership with The Baseball Warehouse, LLC to hold Let’s Play Ball on Saturday, May 14. The day included multiple recognition and award ceremonies, sports activities, face painting, live music, food trucks, family activities, learning booths, and more. A special thanks to Debbie Phelps and her committee for including the League of Dreams in this outstanding event.

Starting things off was a League of Dreams skills camp, where children were instructed by baseball athletes, including LOD President Frank Kolarek and Mike Bordick, Orioles Hall of Famer, on such skills as catching and batting.  This was followed by an exhibition game with BCPS Allied Sports athletes, and then the main event–an entertaining competition between BCPS administrators and educators. It was fun to see Mike Bordick and the administrators pull off the win. However, there were no losers that day!
