Baltimore Orioles Partners with the LOD to Host Event for the Maryland School for the Blind
[September 23, 2022] The League of Dreams partnered with the Baltimore Orioles for an amazing day of (adaptive) BEEP BASEBALL for the Maryland School for the Blind. We still can’t believe the excitement and pure joy we experienced at The Maryland School for the Blind. From the students on the field to their encouraging classmates and teachers in the stands, a sensation day was had by all! We are grateful to the partnership with Baltimore Orioles and to the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation who lent their volunteer support, and to the MD School for the Blind for allowing us to connect with their outstanding students. Maryland School for the Blind’s See Beyond Festival
The League of Dreams was honored to be a part of See Beyond Festival, presented by the Maryland School for the Blind, which was held on Saturday, April 30. This “immersive” day of fun allowed participants to play a thrilling game of beep baseball, experience free blind tastings, enjoy a free kid zone, and indulge their taste buds. We look forward to next year’s event, scheduled for April 29, 2023.

Your Votes Helped LOD Win $25,000
Thanks to the active participation of our supporters in the STATE FARM NEIGHBORHOOD ASSIST PROGRAM®, the League of Dreams is being awarded $25,000! After submitting a grant and being selected as a State Farm Neighborhood Assist® Top 200 Finalist out of 4,000 nationwide submissions, the League of Dreams then went on to compete in an online, voting competition from April 27- May 6. The top 100 nonprofits – the League of Dreams being one of them– that received the most daily votes will each be awarded the generous amount of $25,000.
